San Antonio - Nov 04

November was a pretty action packed month for us. John started off the month getting corrective eye surgery. He got PRK versus the more common LASIK. PRK takes about a week to heal, but it’s worth it now! The doc says he has 20/20 and they’ll probably still improve over the next few moths! Yeah!

We took our first adventure “south of the border” in November. Nuevo Laredo, Mexico is about 2½ hours south of San Antonio. Randolph AFB charted a bus to go down for a day long shopping/site seeing trip. It took us about 2 minutes to cross from the US into Mexico and about 90 minutes to get back in the US. …quite an adventure!

The following weekend Sandie met her brother Ryan in Phoenix where they spent the weekend with their Mom. They had a great time catching up and having fun!

For Thanksgiving we went up to Austin to spend the day with Jason and Jenn Cumberland. Jenn’s parents drove down from Nebraska for the holiday. We had a ton of fun, it’s great to spend holidays with friends. That Sunday we decided to start a tradition of decorating our house for Chirstmas. We bought an artifical tree last year after Christmas (on sale) and had NO idea how much time it takes to set one of those suckers up! We wanted to get a really “full” tree… well, we found one! There were, what seemed to be, thousands of branches in the box that we had to fluff, and stretch, and stick, and poke; it was really quite an ordeal! Well, needless to say, in the end it was worth it… I think. J

Last but not least, we had some friends over and had a great time! We make a true to San Antonio dinner, tortilla soup and taco salad!

We miss you all tons and are looking forward to seeing friends and family for Christmas in Nebraska!

We hope you are all doing great. Please drop us a line when you get a chance: johnandsandie@satx.rr.com.

All our best,

John &
Sandie
(& Einstein too!)
